Below are expanded instructions with screenshots on how to log in to the Remote Lab, or you may use our text-based QuickStart Guide on the Home Page.
Using a web browser, log in using your CruzID Blue credentials at https://remotelab.ucsc.edu/login. We recommend bookmarking this site if you will use the Remote Lab in the future.
Expand an available lab location from the ALL CONNECTIONS list.
Select a workstation from the complete list.
If a workstation is being used, you will see "Currently in use" text to the right of that workstation, so choose another (you will not be able to log in to a workstation currently in use anyway). All previously viewed workstations will appear as a desktop image in the Recent Connections section.
Login into the 'local' workstation with your CruzID Blue credentials. You will see a desktop login screen for the workstation you selected. Log in to the Username/Name and Password fields as you would a normal desktop computer with your CruzID Blue credentials. Once you are logged in, you may use the computer as a remote workstation.
